Handcarved Block Print
Handcarved block prints, each hand printed on Arches 140lb watercolour paper. Leslie starts with a plein air sketch, and simplifies through drawing to achieve a composition that successfully balances light and dark. The design of the final image is a process of elimination and simplification of the initial sketch; this is a very layered, time consuming process. The Alberta landscape is a recurring theme in Leslie’s prints and a major source of inspiration. Each piece is signed, titled and numbered; a limited amount of prints will be offered of each piece. Unframed; acid free mat and backing are included for ease of framing. The outside mat dimensions are 18” by 18”.
